Due to 2 of our long standing Farm vets catching the travel bug for NZ we have 2 positions available in Cookstown and Dungannon.
The position’s would suit someone who enjoys all aspects of mixed practice and will enjoy the challenge of promoting the practice and develop local client relationships. The positions are in Dungannon and Cookstown practices which are both modern purpose built fully equipped facilities with IT to facilitate modern Dairy herds. Ideally (but not essential) you will be 2+ years qualified with good all round experience and skills. We have developed our own in-house graduate training which has been very successful in supporting and bedding in new graduates.
Parklands is a multidisciplinary practice with an intensive livestock sector based in Mid-Ulster which has the highest concentration of livestock in Europe. We are a great practice to learn and progress your career in what ever sector you wish to travel.

£30,000 – £50,000 a year

Our location in stunning Northern Ireland, Cookstown, is close to Lough Neagh is 40 mins from Belfast International, and an hour from Belfast City: Our reasonable living costs, allow affordable connecting flights to the wider World.
We have an exciting, passionate and dynamic RCVS approved, 7 vet, small animal team. We are a 1st and 2nd opinion practice with a highly variable and exciting caseload of both medical, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. Ideally (but not essential) you will be 1+ years qualified with good all round Small Animal experience and skills.
We have excellent facilities including US scanners, video endoscopy, digital x-ray and in-house laboratory etc. We support CPD and your independence to advance your skills clinically. Full support and training given for certificate level study. The practice sees a large variety of caseload from surgical / trauma cases to complex medial, dermatology and opthamology cases. The role would suit an someone keen on all aspects of general small animal practice surgeon who is competent in all medical and surgical general practice and is looking for a more challenging role moving into more advanced surgeries including orthopaedics and soft tissue and reconstructive. Support and coaching would be given to accelerate the development of the right candidate and certificates encouraged and supported. The practice comes with state-of-the-art equipment and can deal with all medical and surgical cases.
