Parklands Veterinary Group Dungannon is looking to add to our dedicated team of Veterinary surgeons to help develop our first and especially 2nd opinion work.
Parklands is a progressive Small Animal RCVS Accredited practice with 11 Small animal vets split over 2 sites. We have excellent surgical, medical and diagnostic facilities in house performing complex orthopaedic, soft tissue and medical procedures. Parklands is situated in beautiful rural mid ulster with easy access to the north, east and west coasts. We have a large and growing caseload seeing many major trauma cases and refer little.

4. Vet for Large Animal Team
Parklands have an opening in their farm team, we are a large and friendly team with a young bias, Covid permitting we enjoy CPD events together with team building activities, barbeques, festive dinners and nights out! Anyone requiring a mentor/clinical coach (vet GDP) will have one named for them. We strive for the best patient and animal care with a huge amount of knowledge in our broad-based team including Farm, Equine, SA, Poultry and Pig vets. Second opinions are encouraged via phone to another team member or re-visiting the animals. Typical day is 9 to 5.30 and weekday rota would include one weeknight on call, either first or second, and one weekend first or second in 4 with a set half day off in week after weekend on call. We have a well-equipped practice where good clinical examination is the cornerstone of animal care but further investigation using Labs etc is encouraged to optimise herd/flock health. Professional and personal development is important to us and encouraged at the individual’s pace, CPD allowance is 5 days a year planned with your mentor. New grads have access to the new graduate program and can shadow a more senior vet for as long as needed. Certificate study encouraged when appropriate to start. Salaries easily in line with SPVS survey results, along with health care cover. We also supply vehicle, kit, phone with client locations loaded and may be able to supply accommodation with household bills paid. At interview we always recommend speaking to the other vets to get an idea of what they feel Parklands is like.

B. Night and weekend Nurse: based in Dungannon surgery

We are looking for a confident, dedicated, and experienced nurse with an interest in emergency and critical care to join our team in Parklands, to complement the Parklands day teams.We are a growing Small animal practice covering OOH in the Mid ulster area. You will be assisting in providing excellent overnight care for inpatients, and be involved with dealing with any new admissions alongside your Veterinary Surgeon.
The area is lovely and scenic to live in with easy access to The east and te West of the country being based on the M1, and some great walking and cycling for your days off.
Working in a small, but brilliant, hardworking team in a rota system, you will be covering nights and weekends including daytime work at weekends and bank holidays (we cover Christmas and New Year’s Day)
Support will be given to study for a certificate.
