Both our Cookstown, Dungannon and Portglenone surgeries have highly equipped laboratories for rapid results usually within the hour! We are equipped with the following in house laboratory facilites to provide same day results:

• Blood biochemistry analysers to detect organ function
• Haematology analyser for blood cell counts
• Glucose monitoring devices
• istat for acid base measurements for critical care cases
• Packed Cell Volume (PCV) measuring
• Microscopes for blood smear, urine or dermatology (skin parasite) investigations
• Electrolyte measurements
• Elisa test kits for Parvo, Felv., FIv etc

In house tests allows us to have a rapid diagnosis and much more rapid tailored therapy for your pet.

For further tests not provided in house we have close association with several specifically chosen external laboratories. The results are generally available for many tests within 48 hours. All results are returned electronically and attached to our patient notes.
