This is disease of the Heart – Signs can include:
- General lethargy
- Loss of appetite
- Loss of weight
- Reluctance to excercise
- Coughing
- Difficulty breathing
- Fainting
- Pot belly
If an abnormality is detected on examination of your pet, further tests may be suggested, such as:
- Blood tests
- Blood pressure monitoring
- X-rays ( Radiography)
- Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Ultrasound scan ( Echocardiography)
- Endoscopy ( looking at the airway with a fibreoptic camera)
- Blood gas monitoring
A combination of some of the above tests may be used to discover any underlying diseases,
give the most accurate diagnosis and assist in formulating the best treatment plan for your pet.
